Maximizing Impact in our Communities

How We Give Back

Foundant is proud to be part of the Bozeman, Montana community as well as all the communities where our team members live and work. We strongly believe it’s our obligation to support our communities through organizations that are working to improve the quality of life where we live and work. We therefore have multiple efforts in place to give back at the company level, as well as support team member passions and efforts.

Foundant’s company level giving is focused in three areas:

Basic Needs

Basic Needs

Food and housing security continues to be an issue in the Gallatin Valley. Thirteen percent (1 in 7) of Gallatin County residents live below the federal poverty level and are in need of support with meeting basic needs. We believe Foundant has a role to play in supporting local organizations that provide services to those needing help in meeting these basic needs, particularly if they have a tie to education or health programs.

Education

Education

As a strong supporter of connecting college students to opportunities in the technology sector, Foundant supports in-school and out-of-school programs that connect students with resources they need to reduce the opportunity gap for ages Kindergarten through adult.

Health & Wellness

Health & Wellness

We support organizations dedicated to healthcare access for underserved populations, partner violence victims, child abuse, foster care, and mental health services.

We encourage our team members to personally give back through volunteerism and/or with  a financial match for their personal contributions of their time or money.

Foundant’s 2022 giving recap can be divided into three venues:

$56,100

Charitable Giving Commitee

$66,500

Foundant Company Giving

$9,670

Foundant Philanthropy Perk

Charitable Contributions Committee

Foundant has also established a charitable giving committee with an overall goal to impact a broad spectrum within our community by distributing donations from Foundant to a wide variety of organizations. This group of Foundant team members will review donation requests from external organizations as well as fellow team members. If you are interested in submitting a request, there are some general guidelines for consideration:

Your organizations must be: (1) non-profit; (2) organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, educational, or other humanitarian and animal welfare purposes; (3) supported in whole or in part by charity; and (4) have tax exempt Sec. 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.

Organizations given priority consideration:

  • Programs that have Foundant Technologies team members committing their time and serving as volunteers.
  • Programs based in communities where Foundant Technologies employees live and work.
  • Funding priority will be given to an organization that provides direct support to the areas listed above, over a fundraising event (golf tournament, fun run, etc.) for such organizations.

General guidelines for efforts we will not support:

As you would expect, Foundant receives far more requests than it can financially support. To ensure the contributions we make are focused, there are some general guidelines for efforts we will not support:

  • Individuals.
  • Labor organizations.
  • Political organizations.
  • Elementary and secondary schools (except schools that have focused programs designed: (a) to prepare students for the workplace, particularly in technology; (b) for students with special needs; or, (c) for our diverse communities).
  • Daycare centers.
  • Travel funds, advertising, or promotional activities.
  • Organizations that do not comply with our non-discrimination policy (provided subsequently).
  • Related parties.
  • Organizations that might in any way pose a conflict with the Company’s goals.

Non-Discrimination Policy

An organization seeking charitable contributions from Foundant must certify that it does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, creed, color, national origin, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic predisposition, carrier status, or any other protected category under federal, state or local law.
